Obama May Bow to House GOP Pressure Again

Recently, U.S. House Republicans have attached a provision to the tax extension legislation which would make way for the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the Golf.  President Obama, who has delayed the pipeline until after the 2012 elections, has promised to veto any bill which contained such a provision.

However, Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) told MSNBC the President may withdraw his veto threat in order to secure the tax cut for the middle class.  “The president is serious. But in politics, I think everybody understands that you get the best deal you can,” said Congressman Cleaver, who chairs the Congressional Black Caucus.
