Debt so High it Imperils our National Security

The deficit is among the top threats to the national security of the United States, writes David Beitelman of policymic.com.  The deficit joins other threats like China, terrorism, and states with nuclear potential like Iran and North Korea.  Adding credence to Beitelman’s list, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen stated: “Debt is the single biggest threat to our national security.”

No matter who wins the presidential election this year, the victor will have to deal with a number of foreign threats.  But the biggest threat might be domestic – Washington’s insatiable appetite for more and more spending.
