Despite the fact that President Obama believes that a short-term, temporary solution is “far from ideal,” the President chose not to veto a House Republican plan that suspends the national debt limit for another three months. While this may seem like great news for the GOP, we are interested to see how the House and the Senate will continue to work together to achieve economic harmony and stability in the future.

In an interview this evening, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) stated: ¬†“All we’re saying is, if the president and the Senate, if this country needs to incur more debt, Senate, please show us your plan to repay that debt, please show us your plan to control spending.”

The House will meet tomorrow to vote on the bill, which will suspend the nation’s debt limit until May.
