Didn’t Think Middle Class Would Be Hit? Think Again!

On Wednesday, CareFirst, Maryland’s primary health care provider, stated that “proposed premiums for new policies for individuals will rise by 25 percent on average next year.” Maryland, setting up its own market place, is one of the first states to embrace the reforms within the Affordable HealthCare Policy.  They should be one of the key states to watch in determining the success of the policy’s implementation.

While consumers will be watching Maryland, they will also be watching their wallets.  Many believed they were promised health care premiums would not go up.  It looks like this will not be the case, yet again, and the middle class will take the brunt of bad polices.
