You Thought Only Cars Had A Sticker Shock Price

Ohio is undeniably one of the states the electoral votes of which are most coveted by Presidential candidates. Many in this great, key state are waking up today unaware that their healthcare premiums are predicted to rise by 88 percent.  The Washington Times made reference to this sizeable rate increase in a recent article – “The Ohio Department of Insurance predicts premiums in 2014 will rise by 88 percent, a direct result of President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”   Ohio Lt. Governor Mary Taylor has issued statements that convey her concurrence with this dismal assessment.   As reported by Forbes, she declared – “We have warned of these increases.  Consumers will have fewer choices and pay much higher premiums for their health insurance starting in 2014.”

One can only wonder how the people of Ohio will respond to this news.
