UPS Eliminates Coverage

The United Parcel Service (UPS) will be eliminating spousal health care support for all employees due to the new health care law. UPS , usually known for their impressive employee benefits, “is blaming President Obama’s health-care overhaul for eliminating coverage for 15,000 working spouses of its employees. This move is expected to save the company “about $60 million a year, and the policy applies only to non-union U.S. workers.”  UPS is not the only large company to cut employee spouse benefits.  A recent study show that another 4% of large businesses plan to follow suit.
