Dead Set Against New Law

Recent polling by NBC/WSJ, USA Today/Pew, and Rasmussen show 53% of Americans do nut support the new HealthCare law.  Joining this 53% is the AFL-CIO union. The AFL-CIO recently passed a strongly worded resolution stating that it found the new law “highly disruptive”. Ironically, these are the same benefits the unions were fighting so hard to receive.

However, unions are now facing losing members, higher insurance costs, and fewer incentives among members to maintain union representation.  Along with unions, businesses are also feeling the healthcare crunch.  “Large employers like Trader Joe’s are also removing their part-time workers from the company’s health insurance in order to offload them onto the exchange.”  The question now is what will Americans do when this new law takes affect October 1.
