HealthCare.gov Sends South Carolina Couple’s Personal Information to North Carolina Man

Tom Dugall is one of the latest casualties of HealthCare.gov. The South Carolina man recently went online shopping for cheaper healthcare. After logging into the system, he entered both his wife’s and his information in order to browse the plans.  A month later, he received a phone call from Justin Hadley, a North Carolina man over 200 miles away.

The purpose of the call?  Mr. Hadley had logged onto HealthCare.gov and received the Duggalls’ information. The result?  Both men have decided not to enroll in ACA. The Duggalls will remain on their current plan while Mr. Hadley has opted to take the penalty.
