Premiums Rise & Students Suffer

Millions of Americans continue to receive cancelation notices and our nation’s students, the future of our economy, are now starting to notice that their premiums have skyrocketed. While most students must take out loans to even afford college, they are now being strapped with enormous health care fees.

“At Bowie State University in Maryland, the cost of student health insurance policies went from roughly $100 a year to $1,800 a year.” The result, “Bowie State University has suspended offering health insurance for domestic students for the 2013-2014 academic year.” Many students are starting to wonder how could this bill be called the Affordable Health Care Act.
