Now You See Them, Now You Don’t
According to numbers released by the CBO (Congressional Budget Office), the new healthcare law will require reduction in the hours of over 2 million workers or elimination of their jobs from the market all together by 2017.  Explaining how this new policy will produce such toxic consequences, a recent article in The Washington Times stated, “the health care law’s incentives are driving businesses and people to choose government-sponsored benefits rather than work.”
The response of the White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, to this news is perhaps the most surprising – “Americans would no longer be trapped in a job just to provide coverage for their families, and would have the opportunity to pursue their dreams.” This shocking, but revealing, declaration certainly begs for Carney’s follow-up opinion detailing how these particular Americans, with limited or no funds, will be able to pursue anything, let alone their dreams.  Can one rationally deduce that the consequences of Obamacare will lead Americans to lose their jobs and then ultimately bask in the bliss of fulfilling their career or life dreams?  It goes without saying – absolutely not!
