Doctor Reacts with Defiance to Obamacare Mandates that Compel 2-Hour Daily Voice Recordings
Dr. Craviotto, an orthopedic surgeon in San Diego, California, is tired of the bureaucratic mess through which he must trudge every day in order to meet government regulations. The doctor already spends at least 2 hours a day dictating medical records into a voice recorder to comply with government regulations. Once ObamaCare fully takes form, many physicians will find themselves spending more time completing paperwork and less time with patients. In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Dr. Craviotto states, “I don’t know about other physicians but I am tired—tired of the mandates, tired of outside interference, tired of anything that unnecessarily interferes with the way I practice medicine. No other profession would put up with this kind of scrutiny and coercion from outside forces. The legal profession would not. The labor unions would not. We as physicians continue to plod along and take care of our patients while those on the outside continue to intrude and interfere with the practice of medicine.” As our government continues to grow, Americans are faced with a choice – more mandated mess or limited government intrusion with streamlined processes.
