Senator Reid Leads Senate To Shelve Keystone Pipeline

Facing a tough runoff this December, Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu – D may assuredly succumb to defeat if the Keystone Pipeline bill does not pass. What may surprise many is that the Democratic Senate Majority Leader could be the key figure who undermines her campaign. The Las Vegas Review Journal states, “The project emerged as a key issue in oil-supportive Louisiana, where incumbent Democrat Mary Landrieu and Republican challenger Rep. Bill Cassidy are set for a Dec. 6 runoff election. Landrieu urged fellow Democrats to support the pipeline but fell short.” Senator Harry Reid D – NV voted against the bill. However, hope for the American public is on the horizon. This same periodical goes on to disclose, “Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who will become Senate majority leader in the new Congress in January, said the legislation will be resurrected when Republicans take Senate control next year.”
