“This isn’t 2008, but it isn’t great either”

The U.S. economy continues to climb out of the depths of The Great Recession. But, despite the hardships we faced in 2008, our government has not made the changes necessary to reduce the national debt and put forth a balanced budget. This is critical considering 2016 has been a rocky start for global markets.

The Economist notes central banks may have created investment anxiety that will be difficult to subdue. Financial confidence is down across the world and the U.S. government must take action to avoid being overwhelmed.
