Economy’s first-quarter blues likely to give way to spring greens

Even though we saw a lackluster first quarter here in the U.S., we are likely to see a spring revival as many economic indicators are looking up. Higher household spending, stabilized gas prices, increased manufacturing in areas such as New York and Philadelphia, and job openings near record highs are filling Americans with optimism heading into the warmer months. Experts say this trend of a slow first quarter followed by a strong second is nothing new, and we should remain optimistic about the near future of the American economy.
