Moderators Ask Zero Questions About National Debt In First Two Democratic Debates Combined

Despite the massive National Debt’s concerning growth and its pointing to the possibility of impending fiscal crisis on a national scale, moderators of the first two democratic debates asked the candidates zero questions about the national debt. Instead, the topics which garnered the most talking time were immigration and health care. In fact, though Social Security and Medicare are “driving spending more than anything else” in our budget, the majority of the candidates are running on a platform expanding the Medicare system for all. What’s more, every single candidate on stage last night supported footing the bill for the healthcare of illegal immigrants.
