This week, Republicans in the U.S. Senate began weighing in on the debt ceiling vote saying they needed to see big changes to America’s spending habits first. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) said, “We’re talking huge changes in the character of our spending in order to get folks to pass the debt ceiling.” An article posted by Politico went on to say “the idea of a bigger stage and brighter spotlight is just fine for most GOP senators, who voted en masse for the spending bill that came out of the Reid-Boehner negotiations with the White House but want more input now.” Read the full Politico Article now.
