Senate and House Republicans are digging in and demanding a Balanced Budget Amendment be included in a vote that would raise the debt ceiling. The Washington Times reports several Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, have come out in support of the amendment. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) said, “Forty-nine states are required to balance their budgets. Individuals are required to balance their budgets. Why shouldn’t the federal government?” Read the entire Washington Times article.
