The U.S. House of Representatives has voted and passed a measure which would raise the debt ceiling immediately. However, major spending cuts would go along with it. “My goal is to get this bill passed, signed into law, solve this debt crisis and get the American people back to work,” Boehner said at a news conference before the vote.
