Today, Speaker John Boehner called on the deficit “super committee” to begin laying the foundation for a broad overhaul of the nation’s tax code. In recent days, the Speaker has also rejected the idea of including tax increases as part of the debt negotiations. In a Forbes article, Speaker Boehner is quoted saying taxes “are not a viable option” for the committee.
