Earlier this week, political insiders gathered for a dinner hosted by Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) who would like to see the Congressional Super Committee to “go big” with their deficit reduction plans. Maya MacGuineas, President of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, told CNN “We want to create the momentum for them to do something and provide cover so they can make the hard choices.” MacGuineas went on to say many would like to see the committee come up with more than $4 trillion in deficit reductions.
