Yesterday, the U.S. Senate avoided yet another near government shutdown and reached a deal that will keep the nation running through November 18th. Coincidently, as Senator Leader Harry Reid informed senators, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) actually does have enough money to make it to the end of the week. Just before the vote, Senator Reid told senators, “It shows us the way out. Let’s fight when there’s something to fight about.
