In a Huffington Post article, former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker said President Obama’s proposed deficit reduction plan is worse than him doing nothing at all. He went on to say “…you would be significantly worse off in 2021 than if the Congress and the president just went on a 10-year vacation.” Mr. Walker charges the White House with “creating their own baseline” to form the deficit plan and that the different numbers being proposed by the Obama Administration “only serve to confuse people.”
