U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) spoke on the Senate floor yesterday saying Democrats would begin to dismantle the President’s jobs bill and vote on it piece-by-piece. The first piece is $35 billion in aid for teachers, police and fire departments. In a video clip on the Daily Caller, Senator Reid said the measure would not be new deficit spending and would “keep 4,000 teachers and support staff where they belong.”
