A CNN article posted today predicts President Obama’s jobs bill will be met by defeat today in the U.S. Senate. Even though Democrats hold the majority, they will likely fall short with the votes needed to bring the bill up for consideration. U.S. House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) said on NBC’s Meet the Press, “Instead of trying to get compromise, [Obama’s] embracing conflict. [He is] running around the country campaigning on a bill that he knows won’t pass – he can’t even get it out of the Senate right now – rather than working with us on ideas that we agree on that would actually help create jobs. We want to go with ideas that work.”
