Another Budget Battle in the Midst

With a trillion dollar plus Federal Budget deficit, what are Democratic and Republican law makers going to do?  Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) is drafting a proposal, trying to gain as much support as possible from both sides on how to tackle the current out-of-control budget deficit problems.

Current law makers saw the October 1st released Budget Blueprint  from the Obama administration.  Inside the almost 2500 page proposal is a call for tax increases on wealthier earners but not a call or even respectable mention about Medicare and Medicaid; something which is only 20% of our Federal Budget expenditure.

Representative Ryan plans to introduce his plans for the Federal Budget on Tuesday, March 19 and stated, “This coming debt crisis is the most predictable crisis we’ve ever had in this country.  This is why we’re acting. This is why we’re leading. This is why we’re proposing — and passing out of the House — a budget to fix this problem: So we can save our country for ourselves and our children’s future.”

Republicans want to fix the deficit even further and wish to save 2% more away from the 1.047 trillion dollar cap set forth by the Obama administration.  Many Republicans agree that if there is room to save more, why not go ahead and do it.
