Due to the requirements within the new healthcare bill, many schools are shifting around budgets to ensure that they comply. Some are even suggesting that workers hours may need to be cut in order to meet budgetary needs. Most states are already struggling to provide sufficient funding for local schools. According to a recent Reuters article, “many states and school districts have at least explored reducing hours, according to Linda Embrey, a communications officer. Several school officials contacted by Reuters said they could not find a way around cuts.”
