Republicans are currently spilt as to how to derail Obama’s health care law. While Republican sentiments towards the new regulations are not surprising, they are, however, making strange bedfellows. Recently, during a meeting in Las Angeles, the AFL-CIO expressed their grievances regarding the President’s law. Wednesday, an AFL-CIO resolution passed stating the union found the new legislation to be “highly disruptive” citing the law will increase costs for union-sponsored health plans thus forcing many union employees to leave their current plans. While Republicans and unions rarely agree, perhaps this odd couple could combine their efforts and prevent bad regulations from moving even further down the tracks.
