Republicans, led by Congressman Paul Ryan, recently unveiled their latest plan to curb spending and balance the national budget. According to a recent Fox News article, the plan will “cut spending more than $5 trillion over a decade and balance the budget in that time.” Congressman Ryan summed up what many are thinking by stating, “this is a plan to balance the budget and create jobs, and it builds off a simple fact: We can’t keep spending money we don’t have.”
