Congressman Scalise (R-La) is looking to Speaker John Boehner and Republican leadership to back a Republican alternative to Obamacare. According to Politico, today in a closed-door Republican Study Committee meeting, Congressman Scalise will push for a house vote on an alternative plan previously crafted by the GOP Conference. Politico explains that, “The RSC health care proposal, unveiled by Scalise, Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.), and other House conservatives in September, would fully ‘repeal and replace’ Obamacare.” Republicans are offering an alternative that hopefully the American public can embrace.
