How Much Has The President Added To The Debt?

As we put another State of the Union address behind us and enter into a new Congressional year, we can expect that the President will focus discussion on how he plans to raise taxes and spend revenue rather than on how to cut waste and balance the budget. Well into the second term of his administration, the President has clearly established his priorities. The massive growth of debt since the President assumed leadership more than speaks to what these priorities are and how he plans to accomplish them. The Weekly Standard addresses this immense debt growth in a recent article – “Under President Obama, $7.5 trillion has been added to the national debt.
