Need Tax Advice Because of Obamacare? – Do Not Call the IRS

As Americans begin working on their tax returns, millions of individuals will contact the IRS for help. According to Yahoo News, the IRS may not be the best place to seek advice. A recent article states, “Got a question for the IRS? Good luck reaching someone by phone. The tax agency says only half of the 100 million people expected to call this year will be able to reach a person. Callers who do get through may have to wait on hold for 30 minutes or more to talk to someone who will answer only the simplest questions.”

Unfortunately, it appears that many Americans who faithfully seek to comply with the mandates of this highly complex legislation may be left high and dry by the very entity responsible for its creation – the US government. Americans will be forced to risk submitting incorrect tax returns based on their limited understanding or pay tax professionals to complete their returns. Ironically, the legislation that was ostensibly designed to help improve the physical condition of Americans has the real potential to multiply the stress and pains of its “beneficiaries.”
