When Joyce Buckland, a Colorado woman, logged into her computer to check her taxes she realized that she owed the IRS $43 million, not counting the nearly $1 million service fee. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would owe $43 million to anybody ever,” Buckland said. At first she thought that there must have been a mistake and refreshed her browser, but when the page loaded up the IRS statement still read $43,547,212.73. After speaking to the IRS they told her that it was a computer glitch that would go away when she made her standard payment. Her next step is to visit the IRS in person.
