US Economy Adds Fewer Jobs in August Than Expected

The U.S. Economy fell short of recent gains in terms of job growth in the month of August. A total of 151,000 jobs were added, a much smaller total in comparison to the 275,000 jobs created in the month of July. The unemployment rate stayed where it was in previous months at 4.9%, but the question regarding possible interest rate hikes and the future of the economic recovery in the United States still looms.
