Consumer sentiment fell slightly from January to February as many are reacting to possible upcoming changes in the U.S. economy. It appears that many Americans have a slightly pessimistic outlook about the next six months in terms of the economy, but the differences between Republicans and Democrats on this issue are vast. Expectations are close to a record low for Democrats, but close to a record high for Republicans. As the new administration moves forward, the rift between the left and right is clearly present in yet another facet of our society.
