Investors have gotten a boost from the Fed for 9 years. That ends Wednesday.

The nine-year Fed policy on stocks could come to a stop on Wednesday. Many predict that the Fed’s decision to unwind its $4.5 trillion balance sheet, will be the subject of this announcement. “The stock market has essentially been expecting this for a while,” said David Kass, a professor of finance at the University of Maryland. “It will be a gradual unwind of the Fed balance sheet and has been incorporated into current prices.” Investors are watching the Federal Reserve closely. The effect of this move is uncertain, although many predict it will have little, if any, harm on the state of our economy.
