Senate Passes Bill on Storm Aid, Debt Limit and Government Spending

This Thursday, Senate Republicans and Democrats collaborated on a deal to fund hurricane Harvey and Irma relief while giving the government a three month extension on its funding and borrowing limit.  The deal was a bipartisan effort, and now heads to the house to be voted on by congress Friday.  When Mr. Trump was asked about the bill signaling some level of bipartisanship Trump responded, “I think it does, yes. I think we will have a different relationship than we’ve been watching over the last number of years.” he then added “The people of the United States really want to see a coming together, at least to an extent.” This bill will keep the government running till September 8th.
