Trump Declares New World-Trade Order

At the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO summit in Da Nang, President Donald J. Trump expressed The Administration’s  feelings towards multilateral trade agreements. “I will make bilateral trade agreements with any Indo-Pacific nation that wants to be our partner and will abide by the principles of fair and reciprocal trade. What we will no longer do is enter into large agreements that will tie our hands, surrender our sovereignty and make meaningful enforcement practically impossible.” These remarks break from the previous Administrations regarding globalization. These remarks have brought controversy and skepticism, but the Trump Administration has been consistent in its criticism of these agreements and doesn’t look to back down.
