Labor Board’s Do-Over Leaves an Obama-Era Rule Intact

The National Labor Relations Board reversed a reversal of a rule that helped workers challenge the labor practices of big chains. Now it will be easier to hold companies responsible for labor law violations. The reversal of the reversal is a result of a members conflict of interest in the matter. This unusual path of the rule will now reman in place for months or potentially years. This rule provides important guidelines and definitions for joint employment and groups have been frustrated with the lack of legislative certainty.
