U.S in Talks on Tariff Exemptions, Trade Official Says

Chief trade representative Robert Lighthizer says several of the nations top trading partners are in line for potential exemptions from tariffs on steel and aluminum. This means Australia, the EU and Argentina. Brazil is also being considered. Ultimately the decision is up to the president but Lighthizer stated that he favors the policy.
