Deutsche Bank’s supervisory board has named Christian Sewing as the new CEO, cutting former CEO John Cryan’s contract two years short. Mr. Sewing is currently co-head of the bank’s retail division, and is set to take on his new role as CEO immediately. Mr. Sewing, now 47, has been with Deutsche bank since he was a teenager, and has previously worked in positions including head of group audit, deputy chief risk officer, and chief credit officer.
