With the government shutdown over, data for the fourth quarter of 2018 is finally in and it’s looking good. There is no evidence of a recession which some have predicted, and our nation’s 2.6 percent GDP growth even exceeded the estimated 2.3 percent. These numbers give the first glimpse into the economic data as a whole from FY 2018 and reveal that the US hit “the strong 3 percent growth” that President Trump promised on the campaign trail.
