Former Republican Governor Scott Walker is a surprising new champion behind a national push for an unprecedented U.S. constitutional convention. The convention would be aimed at balancing the federal budget once and for all. Six more states need to sign on for such a convention to occur, and that is what Walker’s efforts will be aimed at accomplishing. Any legislation proposed during a convention would have to be passed by 3/4 of the states (38) to become constitutional amendments. Read more about the groundbreaking efforts here.
