Rand Paul’s “Pennies Plan,” his take on legislation aimed at balancing the federal budget, lost its momentum in the Senate when it failed a vote to move to the floor. A majority of Republicans and all Democrats voted against the bill. Senator Rand Paul was quoted saying “We teach our children that money doesn’t grow on trees, and then they grow up watching politicians pretend otherwise. Meanwhile, our debt soars past $22 trillion, endangers our country, and artificially limits what our nation can achieve.” You can read more here.
